Strength is an adventuring attribute. It affects:

• Melee damage bonus.
• Additional chance to block.

Strength also effects the amount of additional weight which can be born before Encumbrance penalties apply.

The formula for this is:

Strength / 12.5 = Additional weight before becoming encumbered.

You can view the effects of your current strength by holding your mouse pointer over Strength on your Character Sheet.
