House Andronnai of Drow is a legit guild, has been since they first began and joined the internet age. They officially formed in 1981, and registered with [TSR] for the Tournaments that were spawning all over the United States.

Throughout the years Andronnai has seen many changes. Many people have found a new home in House Andronnai, and some have left. One thing is static however, and that is the lasting friendships and memories that all have gained for their time with us. This has been built on trust, honesty, honor and friendship. With these virtues we have flurished over the years and are still as strong, if not stronger then the day we all first met.

Though changing many games over the years, we still find a way to have fun with each other. Whether it is on Dark Age of Camelot or NeoPets or any game in between. Every person that have ever spent some time in the house has found lasting memories they shall always cherish throughout time.

For more information and/or their history, visit House Andronnai of Drow or visit their forum.

House Andronnai of Drow's Online History

[edit] Why Drow?

The Reasion behind "Drow"

One of the founding members of the guild attempted to have a half drow/half human character to join on one of the campaigns at the Southfield TSR Tournament. Because the Drow are considered an evil race by alignment, there was some difficulty in it. However, after carefull review of the story line, the short stories and documentation of previous campagns that character had been in, the female half drow/half human Andronnai Du'Arthenii was alloud to take part in the event. Because of this, Warriors of The Abyss became House Andronnai of Drow, and a complex story line was born.

Andronnai's Drow Theme:
House Andronnai is a guild that has its roots in the Drow culture. One of the reasons this was started was because of the difficulty the Drow of the Darkwood has in both dealing with other Drow from the Underdark, and having to face the difficulties with those races of the surface.

Like those Drow of the Darkwood, we strive to be the best we can while staying positive. We face advisory head on, deal with issues that may arise (not avoid them when ever possible) and over come any challenges that we may face as a guild and as an online family. As the Drow in both the Underdark and the Darkwood, House Andronnai is Matriarchal society. Listed below is the actual ranks that we have adopted. The listed ranks have been given only because of the ranking structure that Mythic has set up for Dark Age of Camelot.

[edit] Guild Structure

Guild Policies
DAoC Guild Emblem

Many of us have known each other for several years. Some longer then 15 years. Though we do not activly recrute, we do take in the wandering stranger from time to time. If they believe they will fit in well with us they stay, if not, we try to help them find a "home" that is more fitting for their playstyle. Either way, our main goal is to help and be friendly.

[edit] Guild Rules

  1. To have fun, gaming as a friendly community.
  2. To be successful by working together as a team to achieve objectives.
  3. To achieve those objectives in the correct manner.
  4. To strengthen our guild's alliances wherever possible.
  5. To be as respectful and helpful as one can be to non guild members.
  6. And once again.....To have fun, gaming as a friendly community.

[edit] Structure

As a guild we have a simple structure of two Matrons and a set of council members. Major decisions are based on democracy and involve every single member equally.

Those decisions are decided by the process of voting, whereby the majority rules. The Matrons and council members takes a role of overseeing to ensure a fair and honest process, rather than ruling by dictatorship.

Council members are chosen by the Matron and the rest of the council and are often promoted over a long period of time.

Anyone has an equal chance of achieving the rank, but the rank is not easily attained and should not be taken lightly. It is only rewarded after a long period of active membership and many acts of selflessness. The roles of the officers are mainly ones of organization in many forms, such as recruiters, treasurers and group leaders.

Council members will not shout and scream at people or bark unreasonable orders, they are there to give coordination via simple orders based on intelligence gathered.

Please listen to the Council members carefully, they will often have access to certain information you do not but won't have time to explain the situation fully, their decisions should not be questioned. If any member does feels that a Council member has acted unfairly or to the detriment of the guild, that person should contact the leader privately.

[edit] Communication

Andronnai realizes that the communication within the guild is one of the most important factors in our success. We also believe that online gaming should be about friendships and fun more than any other goals.

Our forum here on our website is the most important place for communicating with fellow guild mates. Also as an international gaming guild our peak playing times often differ a lot, so it is essential we still communicate with each other regularly.

Planning and coordination are paramount to the success of an online gaming guild. Andronnai therefore expects all its members to visit the forums at least twice a week. We hope to see each member post at least once every two weeks just to keep us informed.

Role call will be done once every 60 days. You will see the message on the Entrance message as you log onto Dark Age of Camelot. When you see that Role Call has be issued, please sign onto the forum and make a simple post in the appropriate category.

Important changes or information will often be posted there relating to either the current or future guild games. If any member ever has a grievance with any aspect of the guild they should contact either the leader, or any council member they feel most comfortable with, in private.

We will always endeavor to resolve issues that are making members unhappy, but we cannot do so if people don't talk to us.

[edit] Grouping

Leveling groups have always proven to be a problem area in the past for guilds in mmorpg. Andronnai members are always expected to group together as a guild first when ever possible. In some cases this may involve the practice of players leeching off of a group, or smaller secondary groups working off of a main group. This is done for the good of all our members and to ensure that the guild progresses and grows strong together.

Council members will work to ensure that guild members always get into a group when one is available, but it should be understood this is not always possible in every situation. When a group with other members of Andronnai is not possible, and you are not able to find one on your own, contact a Council member on line, and they shall try to assist you. The council members have connections and friends in other guilds and may be able to find one for you there.

We do however expect all members to be reasonable and assist the Council members as much as possible during the organization of leveling groups. Their responsibility is not an easy one, a guild is about teamwork, if your guild is not strong then you as an individual are not strong.

[edit] Recruitment

By and large we do not actively recruit. Though some may come to us wishing to join, we will not turn down any friendly and considerate person. Prospective applicants require at least one sponsor who should be a full member of the guild. Each new prospective member must then read and agree to uphold our "Guild Charter" and "Rules of Conduct" before being invited into the guild by a recruiting officer.

New recruits are expected to serve a minimum 30 trial period whereby each party will evaluate their respective situation. The trial period will generally be only 30 days, although it may be extended in certain circumstances. If both parties are happy with the situation at the end of the trial period, the new recruit becomes a full member and gains access to the private sections of the guild forum.

Behavior that conflicts with our "Guild Charter" or "Rules of Conduct" will result in a review of membership status, which could possibly lead to removal from the guild. Sponsors are required to vouch for people as suitable members and should spend some time getting to know that person whilst explaining a little about the guild.

They should then ensure the prospective recruit visits the website and reads this charter, before registering and posting on the forum. We are looking for quality over quantity.
