Halflings, traditionally child-like humanoids with bare, hairy feet and a love of food, are a playable race located on Thestra. Driven out of their home of Willowroot, many Halflings now live in Rindol Field.

Short, sturdy and amicable the Halflings of Thestra seem to be bothered the least by the problems of the other races. For nearly a thousand years, they have been close with the humans and the two races interact and work together more than any others in Thestra.

Generally a peaceful race Halflings will rarely start any sort of conflict, though when forced they will defend themselves with a surprising ferocity and resourcefulness. Their lifestyle lends itself well to agriculture and most who live in the halfling village of Rindol Field are indeed farmers. While the majority of Halflings choose to stay close to their homes, it is not uncommon to see them in adventuring parties across Thestra.

"No other people share a longer lived friendship with the humans of Thestra than that of the Halflings. From the original founding of Willowroot, across the river Beranid from Targonor, each race found a kinship in the other that still exists to this day."

Many outlying Halfling farms were overrun too quickly to allow their owners a chance to flee. "Religion does play a role in modern Halfing society, albeit a small one. Many customs have evolved around the worship of deities; however there are not many Halflings who have dedicated their lives to serving their gods. I witnessed a harvest song to Nobbon as well as a rather bawdy and drunken revelry led by worshippers of Tharridon. Clearly religion is not a heavily formalized affair in Rindol Field, at least nothing like what is experienced in the Temple of New Targonor."
