Edonus Taggart was a soldier of the Red Blade Unit, who greatly respected the squad's previous leader, Captain Algan, and has concerns about the new Captain, Rastus Willem's abilities given rumours of demotion, and involvement in the murder of Chancellor Kerrick. He sees signs of alcoholism in the Captain, and comes to believe he is corrupt and incompetent.

However, the Undead Invasion overtakes the friction between the two men and both die in the last defence of Targonor.
