Dexterity is an adventuring attribute. It affects:

• Melee critical hit bonus
• Chance to evade an attack or completely resist a spell
• Chance to successfully defend with defensive abilities
• Chance to successfully recognize and react to enemy abilities

You can view the effects of your current dexterity by holding your mouse pointer over Dexterity on your Character Sheet.

*As of the Vanguard Build 01697 Patch, 1/20/2006, Dexterity no longer effects melee damage mitigation. This is handled by the Block, Parry, and Dodge skills instead.
