From Vanguard Wiki
The Crimson Fellowship is Vanguard's guide program, announced in a chat with Michelle Butler on September 9th, 2005, who at that time was the head of customer service. Susan Owen, also known as KeeJay, acted as the liaison between the Fellowship and Sigil until her employment ended in the Sony acquisition in May 2007.
During the game's beta and during the months following release, The Crimson Fellowship operated in a dual role of both player assistance and roleplay interaction.
Similar to GMs, the Fellowship's members would respond to player petitions to answer player questions, assist with unrecoverable tombstones, modifying priority on petitions to assist GMs or whatever other issues were of pressing concern; however, their powers were more limited than those availible to GMs.
Additionally, the Crimson Fellowship worked with players and GMs to operate several roleplay events for players including a Winter Festival in late beta, a pirate themed event in the last days of beta, and several small scale quests. Also, the Crimson Fellowship facilitated several player weddings.
The Fellowship is composed of players who volunteer their time and knowledge.
