Altars are dotted across the landscape of Telon. When a player character dies, they have the option to respawn at the altar.
Altars will also allow you to:
Summon your tombstone. Summoning your tombstone will nullify any experience loss mitigation you would receive if you retrieved your tombstone, and will cost you 15% item durability.
Purchase items from escrow. Items which have remained on a tombstone for more than a week are transferred to escrow, where they can be purchased back for a fee.
